FA1 Privacy

Effective 20 October 2026

Your videos never leave your phone.

No uploads. No accounts. No ads. No tracking.

Kids' data stays on the phone and clears after class.

What FA1 does

FA1 uses your phone's camera, or a video you pick, to find body position points (shoulders, hips, knees and so on). It uses those points to give coaching tips, score estimates and training safety tips. Scores and round results are estimates, not official scores. Safety tips are training tips only, not medical advice. The pose and person-shape models run on your phone. In the iPhone app they are built in and work offline.

FA1 has no face recognition. It never identifies anyone by their face. In clips, other people's heads and bodies can be pixelated.

What we collect

Nothing. FA1 does not send your video, photos, pose data, names or any other information to us or to anyone else. We have no servers that receive your data. There is no analytics, advertising or tracking code in the app.

What stays on your phone

Children

FA1 is used by parents and coaches, including at kids' classes. Kids' names and tracking data never leave the phone and clear after class unless the coach chooses to save the roster on that phone (website only). We do not knowingly collect any information from children.

Permissions

Web version

On the website, your phone downloads the app and its tracking models when you first use them: from this site, and the larger pose models from Google's public MediaPipe model storage (storage.googleapis.com), with a backup copy of one engine file from cdn.jsdelivr.net. These are ordinary file downloads: like any website, those servers see your IP address and which file was asked for. No video, photo, pose data, name or result is ever sent. The iPhone app has everything built in and makes no network requests.

Deleting your data

Tap "Clear" to delete the kids' roster (including a saved copy) or a saved rep. Deleting the app removes everything FA1 stored on your phone.

To delete the clips FA1 keeps on the phone for Progress (up to your last 20 saved clips, plus your last filmed and last opened clip), open More › Progress and tap "Delete saved clips". It shows how many clips and how much space they use, and asks before deleting. Videos you saved to your camera roll are not touched.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date above.
